I have been working with phones for more years than I can count and
I have never seen a better business phone than the
Polycom 500/600 IP Phone!
Here’s why:
- The touch screen
No more buttons to program or break or to “not work even though the rest of the phone still works just fine” – just like your cell phone, this desk phone works with the touchscreen technology you’re used to. - Easy forwarding
Touch the screen twice and you can forward your calls anyplace you like! - Adding 1 touch intercoms or speed dials is easy
Simply program them into the directory and off you go. You simply touch your screen and they are right there for you! - The speakerphone is top of the line
I have experimented using just the speakerphone and most folks couldn’t tell I wasn’t on my handset or headset! - Easily works with most headsets – including BlueTooth
I have a cordless Plantronics headset that I am fond of and (combined with a small adapter) it integrated very easily! The Polycom 600 that I use is also BlueTooth compatible so that if I wanted to I could use the same car headset with my office phone. Talk about easy! - Its size
It’s amazing to me how a phone with this much functionality takes up so little space on my desk! When measured I found it to be just 8″W and 7″ long. - It’s beautifully designed
Granted that my not be the most important thing in the world but then again if you are going to be staring at a phone for 8 to 10 hours a day 5 or 6 days week.., it nice to be looking at a truly beautiful object! Note: No picture including this one does the phone justice! To see it in person is a real treat… - It seamlessly merges with most communications equipment or services
I have mine through Impact Telecom and it took me only about 10 minutes to set up and another 15 or so minutes to add in my speed dials and intercoms. Impact also provides me with an app so I make calls on my phone from my Android phone as well as seeing incoming calls on my computer screen!
The bottom line is that I love this phone, and I know you will too. So if you or someone in your office uses their phone heavily, this is the phone to have on the desk – period!
